Ok, dont sound like brunel FMs kit is working very well. They just had a recorded DJ talking over half way through a song, Then they had a promo and a song started half way thorough and then a jingle and then 2 jingles half way through the song.
The DJ hasn't spoken for ages now. It sounded a bit like Swindon FM did when someone who didnt know how to use the on-air computer was playing with it (Happened often but i was on to show them what to do.
I noticed that the TLRC pc's seem to like playing up. On Brunel various times, i've heard the computer start a song, play 3o or 10 seconds of it then cuts into a break or the news. Are they using Quick Pics or something?? I know that GWR uses Encodad and they cant play a song into the news, Maybe thats what Brunel and the TLRC stations have. The reason i say this is they are a big company, and Home FM seem to have the same problem.
Seems like they need to learn how to use the kit so it dont do that
Get me in!!!!!!!

SORRY! Correction, GWR did use encodad, but not now.
I was told earlier by somebody that they thought i was immature when it came to radio presenting (I asked them for an honest opinion and got an honest answer so thanks) Someone else tells me that my presenting style is fun radio from the old days
Was Kenny Everet,Timmy mallet.
Is Tim Shaw, Chris Moyles
Immature? or are they old fun style radio from the old days... Honest Opinions please!!
I didnt say u were immature, I said you sounded immature, and it was referring to you presenting with another person from CRS.
And you did ask for an honest opinion, and I did my best to be honest, the same as I would expect people to be honest about my abilities. Several people commented to me recently saying I had got an awful lot better and sounded really good on an RSL I did.
GWR Wiltshire no longer use Enco, although there are a few stations who do still use Enco within GCap Media
Ok ok, I'm sorry for mis-understandings on how this was written, I'm not king writer of the world
"I was told earlier by somebody that they thought i was immature when it came to radio presenting" and "I said you sounded immature, and it was referring to you presenting with another person from CRS" is the same thing worded differently and sorry if i have miss enterprated it. I do thank you for your honest opinion, id rather have people be honest than beat around the bush and tell me some sillyness. But... Timmy Mallet was quite immature... Tim Shaw can also seem... Kenny Everet was sometimes... and chris Moyles all have seemed and sounded and been immature but have got somewhere doing it.
I think this may go back to "CURTAIN INCIDENT" which involved the "other Person from crs". It was covered in the Swindon Advertiser, which we were thankfull for. Any publicity was good publicity. People reading the adver would of read that and tuned in. Somethign like the curtain incidend won't be happening again. not by accident any way.
Agreed... I heard the RSL and another show you've done, you do sound quite a lot better than what you had done previously, and even that wasnt bad.
I havn't done any on-air shows for over a year now and i have been working alone on my presentation skills. From the feed back from this i've been told that presenting wise im probably not suitable for Commercial Radio, However if i got more out there instead of sitting in a studio, BBC may be more suitable... but i wouldnt hit a local bbc audience as i sound too young and aim and a younger audience, So im still working on it. Apperently the sketches seem to be taking shape nicely so when i finally do get on air it should sound pretty good.
Once again thankyou for the honest opinions.
